Dark roads

You are a dark road after a storm-
Damp concrete that reflects the street lights,
That reads as yellow
But is not really yellow.
Not yellow like a sun or a sunflower,
But a more artificial type.
You are not really yellow
but a reflection of what surrounds you.
of the men that paved you,
and the rain that drowned you.
You are the lines that attempt to keep order,
But the slippery slope that causes collision.
Your danger is inevitable.
